How a protective cover is like a car.
What’s the most important component of a car? You could argue it’s the engine, but an engine isn’t much good without a transmission. And a transmission isn’t much use without axels and wheels. Steering and brakes are pretty important as well.
In other words, you need all the components for a car to function properly. Not only that, those components have operate in sync with one another.
The same is true of a protective cover. It has to be waterproof, but it also has to be highly air-permeable - otherwise it traps moisture and can actually accelerate corrosion. At the same time, you need it to filter out dust and sand, repel oils and lubricants, protect from UV damage, be durable, etc.
In fact, the AMCOM Performance Cover Specification lists 13 standards a cover needs to meet in order to be effective. And if you fail to meet even one standard, you fail to meet the spec.
Thanks to an exhaustive R&D effort, Cocoon’s patented Protective Cover meets or exceeds all 13 standards of the AMCOM specification. You could say we’re like a high-performance car - not only are the individual components exceptional, so is the engineering that makes them all work so well together.
To see one in action, visit one of our showrooms around the country. Of course, you’ll need access to a military base, but we’d be happy to give you a list of locations.
