Program-Specific Membrane Buildings: Features
Features
Program-Specific Membrane Buildings are engineered for the unique needs of specific applications such as parts storage, warehousing, ship deck transport, and many others. We’ve erected them in virtually every climate, from deep in the jungle to deep in Alaska and even afloat across the earth’s oceans.

The membrane clad structures have great flexibility in design and allow for clear span widths of up to approximately 300 feet with a variety of wall heights and bay widths. Designs can be customized to meet local building code requirements.

They also have a number of advantages over traditional construction, including rapid installation and superior corrosion protection as a result of a post production hot dip galvanizing of welded components that meet the ASTM A123 standard. Independent of the frame system, the high quality PVC coated cladding provides exceptional tensile strength and durability with lower lifetime costs, excellent fire safety characteristics and other significant benefits.

Building components are manufactured in a controlled environment to enhance quality and efficiency, resulting in lower costs and improved delivery schedules. Foundation requirements – able to withstand moderate foundation settlement – are typically lower than traditional construction. All products are delivered complete for installation, with available crew or site technician.

In addition, a broad array of accessory structures and systems is available, including passageways, control and other room structures, lighting and climate control systems and a variety of door configurations.
