Do Cocoon covers really not freeze?

The covers we have are really heavy and freeze in the winter, and when they are wet they can be unusable. I saw Cocoon Covers on a Chinook, and the guys told me they don't freeze and are light. How come?

Cocoon has a unique material that is hydrophobic... meaning it inherently repels water. The water sheds and therefore the covers do not get wet and cannot freeze. The covers are designed to be lightweight (7 oz. per square yard) and cannot get heavier because of water. - Cocoon
